N.V. Westerscheldetunnel, operator of the Netherland’s largest tunnel for road traffic, and Movenience B.V. have jointly commissioned the development of an entirely new toll system.
Scope of the new system is to replace back- and front-office systems which process the transits through the tunnel, as well as the financial systems that process payment transactions for t-tag subscribers of Movenience B.V.
Within this major transformation for both companies, Type 2 Solutions will lead and carry out the migration from the current to the new systems, in cooperation with N.V. Westerscheldetunnel and the software vendor entrusted with the development of the front- and back-office systems, respectively Technolution.
The project stands out by the fact that the target systems, both custom-developed for N.V. Westerscheldetunnel, are still under development. The added complexity of migrating towards a system “in motion” is a challenge Type 2 Solutions is familiar with and confident to tackle.
