New release simLog at Finnair Flight Training Center

Type 2 Solutions has implemented a new release of simLog at the Finnair Flight Training Center.

simLog (short for “simulator log”) is a multi-simulator web-based system used to log simulator sessions. simLog connects data from the Jeppesen Crew Management System to data from Wallchart, a resource scheduling application.

Besides sending updates to Jeppesen CMS, which it has been doing since the first release, simLog now also provides Wallchart with updated information. The supplied information supports the automated invoicing process. The new release also supports cross-type simulators. It contains an improved possibility to connect simulators from both environments (Jeppesen CMS and Wallchart). This improves efficiency by preventing inconsistencies.

The Finnair Flight Training Center is part of Finnair, and is established in 1950. It has eight full flight simulators and offers training to pilots of Finnair, other airlines and business aviation operators. The Finnair Training Center supports its customers with the latest state-of-the-art training equipment and services.
